About the Owner
 Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Jamie is one of the hottest up and coming stylists and educators in Los Angeles. This diversified young lady has a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from California State University, Dominguez Hills. After obtaining her degree she worked and moved up the ranks through various positions in corporate America.
HartSeekers Beauty Salon was born through faith, talent, determination, and the expression of care and concern that Jamie has for others. Even though her background in the field of technology is always “calling” her back to the corporate environment, Jamie finds her most gratifying work is done in the beauty salon.
“It really is a calling,” she emphasizes. “I love doing hair, and this kind of work is another way I can minister to people!”
True to her entrepreneurial ideals, she hopes to continue the HartSeekers vision with a future venture: HartSeekers Mobile Salon - serving clients with “special needs” (Deaf, Blind, Down Syndrome, and other Developmental Disabilities.)
Jamie has volunteered her services to organizations such as The Canon House, Dress for Success LA, Crystal Stairs-Project 730, and the Women’s Care Cottage. testimonial page
Happily married to a minister in the Church of God In Christ denomination, Jamie and Melvin have a daughter, two sons and a grandson. She is a Christian woman striving each day to do all she can to serve the community with the Lord’s guidance.
